Term 1
AISQ: Innovation Forum
Event Date: Tuesday 9 - Wednesday 10 March 2010
Event Location: Sebel CitiGate Hotel, Brisbane, Queensland

Organised by the Centre for Educational Leadership and Innovation, Independent Schools Queensland, this forum features presenters: Michael Furdyk, Kristin Alford, Greg Gebhart, Graham Burt, Eugenia Lim and Nigel Collin plus guru galleries and innovations showcase.

The forum is aimed at Teachers, Lecturers and Administrators.

WA Breakfast Club
Event Time: 7.30am - 9.30am

Registration: FREE

The first WA Breakfast Club of the year will feature three curriculum-based sessions with guest presenters from St Hildas, Hale School and Mercy College.

Let's Read and Respond with IT - David Murdoch, Jessica Nailer, St Hildas ASG

This session will give delegates a detailed look at the rich tapestry of tools and resources freely available on the web.

E-folio Evolution - Inspiring Students Through Innovative ICT Tools - Toby Trewin, Hale School

This session will be based around the creation, use and value of an e-folio for students in a modern classroom environment.

Learning Essentials with Office - Jeremy Hetebry, Mercy College

This session will look at what is offered through Microsoft’s Learning Essentials program. This will be both in terms of the professional development resources and templates available through Learning Essentials for educators and also what is available in the Learning Essentials for Students.

This event is designed for Teachers, Heads of Curriculum, PD Coordinators and Curriculum Coordinators.

Digital Diversity ACEC Conference 2010
Event Date: Tuesday 6 - Friday 9 April 2010
Event Location: Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Melbourne, Victoria

The Australian Computers in Education Conference 2010 is a biennial conference hosted by ICT in Education Victoria.

The conference is for all educators who use information communication technologies in teaching and learning, specifically Primary and Secondary classroom Teachers, Primary specialist Teachers, Principals and School Leadership Teams, School Network Managers and Technicians, Managers of Learning Technologies in kindergarten, tertiary institutions and tertiary ICT educators and consultants.

ISQ IT Managers Forum
Event Date: Tuesday 20 April 2010
Event Location: Independent Schools Queensland – Level 1, 96 Warren Street, Spring Hill, QLD

This forum gives organisations the opportunity to provide an overview of the products and services which are available to support Independent schools. Travis Smith of Expanding Learning Horizons will be doing a 45 minute presentation on how to successfully implement a 1-to-1 Program in schools.

AISNSW IT Managers Conference

edu-IT Conference 2010

School Tour
Event Date: Wednesday 25 August 2010
Event Location: Victorian Schools

Conducted the day after the ELH and SchoolTech conferences finish, the school tours allow delegates to visit technology-rich classrooms in Victorian schools that are leading the way in equipping students with 21st Century skills through the use of technology.

PDN School Leaders Conference
Event Date: Thursday 26 - Saturday 28 August 2010
Event Location: Conrad Jupiters, Gold Coast, Queensland

This year’s conference questions professional educators on how the collective leadership effort of Teachers, parents and positional leaders can be harnessed to improve learning and children’s achievement. Workshops will explore specific issues such as ‘Make a difference in Student Learning’ and ‘Make a difference in Collective Leadership.’

The conference is aimed at Executive Directors, Principals and Deputy Principals together with aspiring future leaders from Primary, Special and Secondary schools.

ECAWA 2010 State Conference
Event Date: Wednesday 29 - Thursday 30 September 2010

The ECAWA 2010 State Conference will be held at Canning College, Marquis Street, Bentley, on Wednesday the 29th and Thursday the 30th of September, 2010, and in the first week of the September / October school holidays.

Term 4
AIS IT Integration Conference 2010
Event Date: Thursday 14 - Friday 15 October 2010
Event Location: Tara Anglican School for Girls, North Parramatta.

This two-day K-12 conference is designed to address the professional learning needs of IT Integrators in independent schools. Keynotes and workshop presentations will cover a wide range of topics including Web 2.0 technologies, interactive whiteboards, learning objects and subject specific content. It is expected that the conference will attract a wide range of education delegates who will, in the main, be ICT integration teachers and classroom teachers who are keen to integrate IT into their curriculum in NSW schools. However delegates also typically include teacher librarians and IT Managers as well.
